The GoCycle was the first of this week’s Something for the Weekend gadgets. At around £1200 the Go Cycle is not cheap, but it’s perfect for a commute to work if you don’t want to get too sweaty. Something for the Weekend gadget expert Seema Parmar explained that the Go Cycle had an electric boost function allowing you to go up to 15 miles per hour without pedalling - great for travelling uphill or against the wind.
The GoCycle is designed so that the chain and the internal mechanics of the bike are protected by an outer shell. This also protects your clothing from getting caught up in the bike chain. Tim Lovejoy said the GoCycle works really well. A red button on the handlebars turns the engine on and off.

Yesterday Working Lunch looked at government helplines which could make your money troubles worse if you call them on a mobile. Calls to 0870 and 0845 numbers can cost up to 20 pence a minute and if you’re left holding for half an hour which is often the case, it all adds up to a nasty phone bill.
Working Lunch presenter Declan pointed out that a number of Working Lunch viewers had recommended a website, www.saynoto0870.com. This website lists a directory of local code numbers which can be called as an alternative to expensive 0870 or 0845 numbers, helping you save money on calls.

Home hair dye kits were tested on GMTV with Lorraine this morning. Garnier Nutrisse Cream at around £5 received a rating of 7 out of 10. Next up was Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Perfect 10 which scored a remarkable 10 out of 10. The Perfect 10 gives excellent shine, colour and condition and takes only 10 minutes.
Nora used Boots Botanics at £3.91 which she was very happy with. It only took 20 minutes and the colour came out very shiny and rich compared to her old look - 9 out of 10. The GMTV expert said these hair products were all great for colour depth and shine. Finally the L’Oreal Casting Creme Gloss was tested and the lady was very pleased with the results.
